ATC – Blackrock College
ATC has a long history (since 1973) of providing excellent English programmes for junior students from all over the world.
Blackrock is a beautiful suburb of Dublin, only 7 km south of the city centre. Blackrock gets its name from the black rocks that lie off-shore. In the past, this area used to be a fashionable seaside resort, so it’s no surprise ATC Language Schools chose this place for one of their summer schools.
ATC’s Summer School is based at a large educational complex of Blackrock College, only a 10-minute train journey or a 25-minute bus ride from Dublin’s city centre. Courses happen each summer from June to August for kids aged 11-17.
There is host family, full board accommodation (Age 12-17 years) with a carefully selected family (packed lunches are made for Monday to Friday) and each family can take 2 students of same group. Residential rooms are available (11 to 15 years) that are also full board.
Courses have 15 hours of English classes that are alternatively in the morning and afternoon to make the course interesting. They have organised sports activities and 2 half-day excursions per week including entrance fees and travel costs including Arts & Crafts, Cookery, Gardening and Tennis. There is also 1 full-day excursion by coach per week with entrance fees included.
If you want a life-changing experience on a language course in Ireland then ATC is for you.
