International House Bristol
Set in the hills of South West England on the banks of the River Avon, you will find the beautiful city of Bristol.
The city has a population of just over 500,000, and features two famous universities, many cafes, restaurants, museums and cinemas. It is a friendly, safe and attractive city which was a former port with a rich maritime history that has become a cultural hub in the UK – the perfect destination for your language course.
International House Bristol runs a young learner programme at their Queen’s Avenue centre, located in Clifton – one of Bristol’s most popular areas, only a 15-minute walk to the city centre and the harbour.
The school has everything you need as an international student – from comfortable seating, interactive whiteboards, computers and free wi-fi access to a students’ room and a large private garden.
Accommodation is arranged with friendly local host families, that also provide daily breakfast and evening meal – so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to practise your English and learn about the English way of life.
Exciting activities and excursions are also included in this programme. You will get a chance to explore Bristol by going on a harbour tour by bike, visit one of the museums, walk across the famous Suspension Bridge or to go on a ‘Pirate Walk’!
Every Saturday there is a full day excursion to nearby cities, so you also get to see places like London, Oxford, Bath or even visit famous Stonehenge.
